Reviews!

Here are some reviews for my book, The Grey Curse:

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant New Storyteller!August 29, 2014
This review is from: The Grey Curse (Kindle Edition)
This is no "Curse".

This entire book, front to back, is a blessing.

One witch and one vampire...sounds uniform, right? Wrong. There is nothing average about Selena Grey, a young woman who just wants a normal life and Decan Colt a vamp who rebels against killing her defying his Maker in the process. I don't want to give anything way because I think this is *gives long look*...just the book you've looking for.

Rich, fluid dialogue dotted out among a formidable, enjoyable plotline made this entire story a fun, fascinating read that took me everywhere a book should. I laughed, I cried, I ached and I cheered. Selena is hands down my fave in this tale, I am huge fan of strong, pro active women who embrace their fate and make it work for them rather than the other way around.

Ms. Kelley's debut novel leaves me asking myself that one little question that a good book and a talented writer can evoke:

Please, Ma'am, may I have some more?

Keep up the good work, Krista...and welcome to a new world.

4.0 out of 5 stars Curses....September 14, 2014
This review is from: The Grey Curse (Kindle Edition)
I like books with curses, magic, rituals, etc plus add in the romance and I'm all in love with a paranormal read. The Grey Curse brings what I enjoy to the table.
My summary- A new witch, a vampire sent to destroy her family line, and a bad guy who has a few twists up his sleeve... want to know more- go read the book.
My review-
I enjoyed the characters, witty conversation, they came up off the page, I connected, they connected, connection stayed good throughout the entire story. I adored the twists and turns that pivoted in and out around the characters throwing them in a bit of a different direction.
I'm glad they didn't have 'fated love' while it came about sooner than I would have thought, it still had a quality of them getting to know each other, or trying to anyway.
The bad guy, is truly a bad guy. I expected the vampire, but things changed quickly and I was shocked by what had been revealed. The entire idea of revenge and curses setting the stage for this story really drew my attention. It's like an old family feud gone terribly wrong mixed in with paranormal and love.
I like how the author put in the journal entries to help display part of what happened in the past to draw the curse in the first place. Every family has skeletons and there is a good one here.
If you like witches, paranormal, a little vamp action and curses...give this book a try.

The plot in this book takes you back to the nostalgic life in a small town with a twist. The unfolding of all the characters led you to fall deeper and deeper into the storyline. It kept you guessing until the very end. Very enjoyable and well written by a new outstanding author!

It's hard to believe this is a debt book; it reads as if the author has dozens of books out already! The characters are well developed and could be the neighbor next door, or that man passing you in the grocery store. I liked the explanations, which made perfect sense and weren't conventional or contrived. Well done Ms. Kelley. Hope to read more from you in the future.
